eDIM represents a transformative initiative, catering specifically to Kenyans living abroad. This case study delves into the design journey of eDIM, aimed at facilitating seamless online insurance purchases and investment opportunities for the Kenyan diaspora.

Primary User Groups:
  1. Kenyan Expatriates: Individuals residing abroad seeking convenient access to insurance policies and investment opportunities in their home country.
  2. Insurance Seekers: Users looking for a simplified and user-friendly platform to purchase insurance policies online.
  3. Investors: Individuals interested in exploring and managing investment portfolios related to Kenya’s financial markets.
The Challenge:

eDIM aimed to address the challenges faced by Kenyans in the diaspora, including:

  • Limited accessibility to insurance services and investment opportunities from abroad.
  • Complex processes and lack of user-friendly platforms for managing financial affairs remotely.
  • The need for a trustworthy and secure online platform for insurance purchases and investments.

 

Solutions

1. Streamlined Property Listing:

  • Implemented a user-friendly interface for property owners to easily list and showcase their properties.
  • Introduced a step-by-step process, guiding property owners through uploading images, descriptions, and relevant details.

2. Agent Matching Processes:

  • Developed a sophisticated journey that matches property owners with suitable agents based on property type, location, and historical performance.
  • Enhanced agent profiles to showcase expertise, client reviews, and successfully closed deals.

3. Verified Property Listings:

  • Implemented a verification process to ensure that all listed properties meet specific standards and are legitimate.
  • Introduced a badge system to highlight properties with verified information, boosting buyer confidence.

My Roles:
  • As the UX designer for eDIM, my roles included:
